The overall objective of the project is to promote and advance a network of East African universities to develop and share advanced higher education curricula development practices in the field of advanced logistic and sustainable tourism management techniques.
The overall project aim is to foster co-operative networking among the four academic partners in East Africa and between these partners and Europe in order to facilitate positive and sustainable economic impacts in the East African region. In the long run the project will contribute naturally to the expansion and improvement of economic relations between East Africa and Europe through a train-the-trainer exchange programme with Europe for African lecturers and the promotion of international student internships in European industry that will be part of the advanced curricula to be developed.
A further aim is to ensure that higher education in leading East African universities in the two target sectors are becoming more practical and “labour oriented” and better responding to the demand and interest of the economic operators and industrialists in the two targeted sectors (logistic and tourism) in the partner countries.
